Chainsaw Challenge

The Chainsaw Challenge was first held in 2006, and is certainly and event that separates the men from the boys - but is of course open to girls too! The event is run on a best time basis and all participants must be an accredited chainsaw operator (and will have to produce their card on the day). Each participant stands at the block with chainsaws running and may commence making their first cut at the drop of the flag. Each participant must cut three wheels of timber from the block - one each as an upcut, down cut and bore cut - all within the marked 100mm (or 4 inches)! Easy.. you think??? Well, each wheel of timber must be a whole (and no cutting fresh air!) and must remain within the marked 100mm. The participant that achieves the requirements within the fastest time wins some fabulous prizes compliments of our generous sponsors.
